After a terrible parents-teachers meeting, Maria tries to put her daughter Jessica back on track. But there is a third wheel interfering in their chat: Jessica's phone, by which the girl is totally absorbed. The mother soon decides to grab the phone, not considering the consequences that her decision might provoke...

Pupil of Orazio Costa, she is a theatre, cinema, tv actress and dubber. è attrice di teatro, cinema, televisione e doppiatrice. She made her debut in theatre with La figlia di Iorio by D’annunzio and worked with directors like Giorgio Albertazzi, Franco Zeffirelli, Mauro Bolognini, Dario Fo, Luigi Squarzina, Giuliano Vasilicò, Federico Bruno and many others. Among her latest works, the short film Francesca (that she produced, directed and interpreted), the comedy Una canzone a tre tempi, Rai Uno’s fiction C’era una volta la città dei matti and many other fictions like Un Medico in famiglia, La dottoressa Jo, Camici bianchi, La squadra, Il Commissario Rex and the well-known Sky original production 1993.

Lisa Granuzza Di Vita

Jessica

Lisa is an Italian-English actress who lives between Rome, Paris and London. She has been training in theatre, cinema & tv at Drama School "LSDA" in London. She currently works in the film industry and recently graduated from the acting course in "Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia" of Rome. She acted in the movie "Short Skin, I dolori del giovane Edo" and in many videoclips and short-films.

The film is shot in a one long-take. To give a more realistic and spontaneous touch to the story I used a hand camera to closely follow my two characters in their space. In particular, there is a moment that distinguishes itself from all the others for its ambition and complexity, in which Jessica's world turns upside down: for these reasons I decided to turn to small, light and easily handleable equipment.
Close-ups and medium close-ups are the mainly used frames, in order to capture the conflicting emotions of mother and daughter. Cinematography embraces cold tones in order to underline both the empty and dry relationship between the two women and the daughter’s impersonal and virtual life.
It is my intention to show these human characters for what they actually are, in both their dramatic and absurd faces: my glance will not be the one of a judge, rather a very empathic one.
